  • Mid-week reservation. We ran late and they held it for 30+ minutes. The entire staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local ingredients and liquor. Diner was fantastic. We had the cocktail and wine pairings and the cocktails were exceptional. I will remember the cocktail aromas and flavors for a long time. Wine pairing on target also. Great evening and we will return as often as we can.

  • The restaurant fully deserves its Michelin star and green star. Offering a 10-course menu, each dish was absolutely delicious, crafted sustainably with locally sourced ingredients and a zero-waste philosophy. I especially loved the rye bread with sardine, the potatoes and whey, and the Norwegian plum - simple yet refined flavors. The service was impeccable: super friendly, warm, and highly professional. Another highlight was the drink pairings, a perfect blend of cocktails and wines. Each dish was beautifully complemented by a carefully selected drink, whether it was an inventive cocktail or a fine wine. These pairings added a perfect harmony to every course, elevating the entire dining experience. I had a fantastic evening and highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable gastronomic experience, both in terms of flavors and hospitality.

  • Had my birthday dinner here and it didnt disappoint! We ordered the tasting menu and wine pairing. Each dish was delicious and interesting. I loved trying all the different courses. Although each course was small, i left the restaurant feeling full. Service was fabulous as well. The interior is more minimalist Scandinavian style. Not sure romantic but definitely cozy.

  • Dining at K2 in Stavanger was an unforgettable experience. This Michelin-star restaurant isn’t just about amazing food — every dish and drink comes with a story, beautifully explained by the owner, which makes the evening feel truly special. The tasting menu is premium (around USD 159+ per person), but absolutely worth it for the creativity, local ingredients, and the care put into every detail. The service? Easily 19 stars — warm, attentive, and full of passion. Elegant yet welcoming, K2 is the perfect place for a night to remember.

  • It’s a very green restaurant, where chef besides using very natural products tries to do something with leftovers. And it obtains very good (Michelin green star as a proof). There are two different options of a set - Meat&fish and Vegetarian. We’ve chosen Meat&fish one. The set is good, but not striking. Some dishes are interesting, but majority are average. Course (10 servings) costs 1430 NOK, they also offer a wine paring (7 courses) for 950 NOK or 630 NOK if you prefer non-alcoholic drinks. There are good cocktails (4 in the menu), they are recommended for snack servings, but cocktails also good suit for other dishes:) there is also a wine card, but this time there we no orange wine by glass. The restaurant’s sommelier advised us very interesting floral Riesling and it was definitely very good choice. But the dinner is longer than it should be - pauses between starters are 15-20min, between main dishes are 30min, so be ready to spend 4 hours for 10-course set. And it’s really a downside of this place - excitement is gone. Staff is friendly and energizing.

  • Based on my personal palate and preferences, I’d give the food around 3~3.5 stars out of 5, as I couldn’t quite justify the 1-star michelin experience. The drinks were excellent, and a few dishes really stood out for me: the deer tartare with rye bread, the smoked pumpkin, and the Norwegian pear dessert. The rest of the dishes felt rather average. That said, kudos to the kitchen staffs, especially considering the head chef was out sick. They still handled service professionally. Overall, still a pleasant dining experience although the end-to-end experience wasn’t as smooth or eloquent as I had expected. Definitely loved their concept and belief of minimal food waste, something I’d absolutely champion!
